Can anyone identify this car? I know it's a 60's Pontiac, but model and exact year are beyond my realm of knowledge.

Either a Catalina or a bonneville

You should lower that price to $1000 if you want it gone before Christmas.
Also just take the race truck.

That is quite possibly one of the most honest craigslist car adverts I've ever seen. Cant believe you mentioned the possibility of the head gasket issue!

I'd guess 65 or 66 le mans, possible bonneville.

I was told to list it for above what I want for it and negotiate down to where I want to be.
I'll take the race truck if you buy my gas.

I wrote it the way I wish everyone else wrote theirs. Probably not the best way to sell a car, but whatever. At least this way if someone does buy it they can't come after me afterwards saying I wasn't honest about the car.

1963 Grand Prix

It's a 1963 Grand Prix. There aren't many Pontiacs with the badge in front of the fender. The two word badge narrows it to Star Chief, Strato Chief (Canada) or Grand Prix. It wasn't the first two from the grill and headlight shape, so it had to be a Grand Prix, but with the badge at the front of the fender. I went back and did google image searches for each successive year until I hit 1963. They swapped to post-fender badging in 1964:
